✨ Milan Fashion Week September 2026: a guide from the heart of the city

For seven days, Milan changes rhythm. From 22 to 28 September 2026 the city hosts the Fashion Week dedicated to the Spring Summer 2027 womenswear collections, and the quadrilatero together with the Duomo district becomes the centre of gravity of the fashion world.

Our salon is on via Mazzini, two hundred metres from Piazza Duomo, so we experience that week from the front row. Here is what is worth knowing: who shows and when, which events are open to the public, where to stop and eat or drink in the centre, and how to organise your hair when the days fill up with appointments.

💎 The dates and how it works

Milan Fashion Week Women’s runs from Tuesday 22 to Monday 28 September 2026 and presents the Spring Summer 2027 collections. The calendar published by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana counts 203 appointments in total, with 54 physical shows plus a handful of digital presentations, alongside dozens of presentations and side events.

The main appointments are concentrated between 22 and 27 September, while Monday 28 is reserved for digital shows only. One useful detail if you are in town: the starting point is Piazza Duomo, on the corner with Piazza dei Mercanti, from 1 pm on Tuesday 22 and from 9 am from Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27.

The shows themselves are by invitation, but part of the programme can be followed on the Camera Moda website and on the Fashion LED Cube installed in Piazza della Croce Rossa.

✨ Who shows and when

Prada opens the programme on Tuesday 22. From there the week runs through the names that define Made in Italy.

  • 💎 Prada opens the shows on Tuesday 22 September.
  • ✨ Fendi, Gucci, Dolce&Gabbana and Bottega Veneta follow through the week.
  • 💎 Moschino is the most anticipated debut of this edition.
  • ✨ Giorgio Armani closes the physical calendar on Sunday 27.
  • 💎 Versace stays off the schedule for the second consecutive season, and Boss is also skipping this edition.

This is not an edition built on debuts. The interest lies rather in seeing how the creative directions begun over the last few seasons are developing.

💎 Vogue World comes to the Galleria

The most talked-about event of this edition is Vogue World, which lands in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II on 22 September. It is the travelling format created by Anna Wintour in 2022 which, after New York, London, Paris and Los Angeles, is being held in Italy for the first time.

The following day Palazzo Reale hosts the Camera Moda opening gala and the inauguration of the exhibition Dalí and Fashion, on show until 31 January 2027. The Fashion Hub at Palazzo Morando, open from 22 September, remains the reference point for young designers and hosts around fifteen talks.

If you are in Milan, this is the week to walk through the centre without a destination. Between the Galleria, Montenapoleone and Piazza della Croce Rossa anything can happen, and much of it is visible from the street.

✨ Where to stop in the centre

Between one show and the next you need somewhere to sit down. These are our own reference points within a few minutes’ walk of the salon, grouped by time of day.

Breakfast and coffee

  • 💎 Marchesi 1824, in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II above the Prada boutique: a historic pâtisserie, one of the oldest in the city, with a privileged view over the Galleria.
  • ✨ Cova, at via Montenapoleone 8: the café of Milanese elegance, perfect for starting the day watching the quadrilatero go by.
  • 💎 Giacomo Caffè, at Piazza del Duomo 12, inside the Museo del Novecento: sheltered from the crowds, with an atmosphere suspended in time.

Aperitivo

  • ✨ Camparino in Galleria, Piazza del Duomo 21: the historic bar at the entrance to the Galleria, the right place for a Negroni with the Duomo in view.
  • 💎 Da Vittorio Café Louis Vuitton, at via Montenapoleone 2: the most photographed stop in the quadrilatero right now.
  • ✨ La Rinascente Rooftop, on the seventh floor above Piazza del Duomo: the spires of the cathedral almost within reach.
  • 💎 Ally’s Bar at Langosteria, at corso Matteotti 9: carefully made cocktails in the most elegant corner of the quadrilatero, open until late.

Dinner

  • ✨ Langosteria Montenapoleone, at corso Matteotti 9: the best seafood in the city, with a terrace overlooking the quadrilatero. This week it is the hardest table in Milan to book, and there is a reason for that.
  • 💎 Cracco in Galleria: Carlo Cracco’s cooking at the most spectacular address in Milan. Booking essential, all the more so this week.
  • ✨ The Dome Rooftop, at via Mazzini 2: a few steps from the salon, on our own street, with a terrace over the city centre.
  • 💎 The Roof Milano, at Piazza Missori 1: a more intimate rooftop, right for a dinner that stretches into the evening.

A practical tip from people who work here all year round: during those seven days the centre is full and tables disappear. Book everything a few days ahead, even an aperitivo.

💎 A salon ready for every occasion

During Fashion Week the days fill up: a presentation in the morning, a working lunch, a show in the afternoon, dinner and then a party. It is the week when your hair has to work without you thinking about it, and when half an hour well spent makes the difference between arriving composed and arriving in a rush.

We are at via Mazzini 16, two hundred metres from Piazza Duomo and a five minute walk from the Galleria, so you can come in between two appointments without losing your day. We work with one client at a time, which means the slot you book is yours.

  • ✨ Blow-dry, to arrive immaculate at a presentation or a dinner.
  • 💎 Evening styling, from a compact mirror-smooth finish to soft waves.
  • ✨ Gloss, the quickest way to bring light back to your colour: about an hour and the reflect is where it should be.
  • 💎 Glass hair treatment, for the kind of shine that shows up immediately in photographs.
  • ✨ Cut and colour, if fashion week is also your moment for the seasonal change.

We speak English, so the consultation can be carried out entirely in English. During this week, for us, that is simply normal.

✨ And after Fashion Week

Once the week is over, the season itself remains. The collections you see on the runway are for spring 2027, but the wardrobe and the hair of the coming months follow autumn winter 2026 2027.

If you want to know where the season that starts now is heading, we have two guides: the hair colour trends for autumn winter 2026 2027 and the haircuts of the season.
